Online Workshop: November 5th-Nov 17th, 2018
Online Baby and Child Fine Art Workshop: November 5th - Nov 17th
Come and join me for a two-week online workshop that focuses on YOU and what you can learn to create the images you desire.
*I will start the workshop by doing an in depth portfolio review of your top 2 images, discussing areas of strength in your images and aspects of your images that have room for improvement. I believe that constructive criticism is a vital component to progressing in any field. I offer CC at every step along the way in this two-week-course in hopes that it will help you grow and create well thought-out images.
*During this workshop, I will cover what I look for in locations and how I use them for both babies and children. You will get to see the behind the scenes shots and pull-backs of my most popular shoots. I will show you what types of locations I look for to create storytelling images, as well as how to search out gorgeous light while on location.
*I will cover how to use the environment, your camera, your lenses, and post processing to achieve tack sharp images while retaining a soft and dreamy quality.
*I will cover how to pose babies both asleep and awake and how to get natural-looking photos of children that tell a story and evoke emotion.
*I will reveal how to use wardrobe to create harmonious compositions that aid in the narrative of your images.
* I will discuss how to successfully brand your business and why it is important.
*Finally, I will finish the workshop by teaching you how to breathe life into your images and push them to the next level through hand-editing.
* Students should be familiar with layers and masks in photoshop
My goal in teaching this workshop is that you all leave with the tools to compose the images that YOU dream of creating. This workshop will be tailored to your individual needs. Nothing is off the table. This two weeks is all about you.
In addition to continual CC and shooting assignments, this workshop will have four live webinars:
Monday, Nov 5th: 7:00 p.m. MST
Wednesday, Nov 7th, 7:00 p.m. MST
Friday, Nov 9th, 7:00 p.m. MST
Sunday, Nov 11th, 1:00 p.m. MST
Wednesday, Nov 14th, 7:00 p.m. MST
These webinars will not be recorded and made available to watch at a later date. Recording is strictly prohibited. The webinars are only available as live webinars. That being said, they are repetitive. I give many examples of each concept, so if you are worried about not keeping up with the material, you shouldn't be. :-)
Workshops are prohibited to those who mentor, host workshops, create actions, or sell photography videos, and those located within 500 kms of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Participants will be required to sign a 2-year non-compete contract. This means that you cannot teach photography-related workshops for two years after taking this workshop. I am willing to make exceptions for those teaching studio newborn photography. Just ask me to amend the contract to exclude studio newborn work.
